Tour and Live Performance in the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus

We will visit the Ancient holistic healing center of Asclepius ( son of god Apollo) .

Aside from incubation, pilgrims could also be given pharmaceutical drugs and remedies, they could even undergo surgical treatment, evident due to the scalpels, lances and other instruments found there.

Asclepius and his student Hippocrates accept and healing psychic weak people with hypnosis.

Before the performance you will have more than an hour for a drink or a snack or to visit the sanctuary of Asclepius at Epidaurus,. Is a tribute to the origins of Greece healing cults. The vast site, with its temples and hospital buildings devoted to gods, provides evidence of the transition from belief in divine healing to the science of medicine.

The Athens and Epidaurus Festival is the city’s annual arts festival and a highlight of the Greek summer calendar. With a legacy that spans more than sixty years, today it incorporates a full programme theatre, dance and visual arts. Performances at the ancient theatre of Epidaurus are highlights of the festival. Famous for exemplary acoustics and many of the great works of classical playwrights, such as Sophocles, premiered at the Epidaurus Theatre in ancient times.
